Oh my, Holly. This made me 😭!!!! Bless that dear woman who knew what it took for you and your mom to get there that day. Bless you for sharing this story and reminding us of kindness so we can ALL pay it forward. Thank you for the reminder of kindness and for your kindness.

I know. She taught me something so, so important...again. More kindness breeds more kindness. I wish I had gotten her name!

Kindness,

The milk of human kindness can flow if we let it

We don’t always know how to

The easy way is hard-just let it flow they say

but when our hearts open up it flows a long long way .

Love the wise ones

Beautiful! I do believe that it can take a lifetime to truly understand kindness. Grateful for the ones who choose to share it.

It seemed like a story worthy of being shared. I’m so glad it felt like more kindness.

Yes to kindness! Love this story. I tried needle felting for the first time last week. I'm involved in our local Arts Council and my craft is usually knitting but I can enjoyed the felting process.

We recently started Creative Play, where we open our artist studio to the community twice a month to come and work on creative projects, try something new, or just connect with community. Free to attend for anyone, it's been nice to connect with each other and not talk about politics.

Thank you, Kerstin. Creative Play sounds like a balm for the soul. I've dreamed of starting something like that where I am. For now, it will have to remain a dream until things settle in caregiving world. Thanks for the inspiration!

We are in month 3 of Creative Play and it has been so great! Just coming together with people to make art, some bringing their own projects, some trying something new with supplies from the Arts Council, it has been so great. We have it scheduled from 6:30 to 8 and usually stay until 9 because nobody wants to go home.

Your mom is lucky to have you. I’m bringing my neighbour to his eye appointment today. And his wife can no longer drive.

The story about the kindness made me cry. Thank you for sharing. Also, this: "...my own song, not the one heavy with the soot of other people’s fires." Yes! And this: "Bubbling, bubbling. No toil. All trouble." Love it! And you.

It made me cry, too…even though I was already crying. And thank you for the poetry love!

Also -- that sounds strangely similar to where I take my mom for her eye appointments... it's like a maze, terrible directions and inadequate signage. I've been in that situation before (minus the wheelchair).
